See the new videos posted on the WESTERN ELECTRIC page: The Academy series of 12 films, plus VOICE FROM THE SCREEN introducing Vitaphone in October 27, 1926. All of the videos are being updated with soundies, Una Mae Carlisle and lots of other gems from our collection, Laurel and Hardy, and some rare silent films, plus more movies from Millville.

The video files here on moviemive.com are from the collection and relate to subjects in which we are especially interested. Some of them are very rare and may be one of a kind. On the Western Electric page next door, you can see the fairly common academy series from 1946 and the very rare Voice From the Screen from 1926. We will keep rotating the catalog as we find the time.

___________Welcome to Moviemice. This is kind of a virtual attic. You won't find any advertising here, just information and entertainment.

Movies are a time machine, which is why finding and restoring lost films is so exciting. Wilmington, Delaware was my home town, so it was a great surprise to find this 35mm movie from 1956 hidden beneath a pile of old cans. To faithfully preserve the original quality I have designed a system for copying original films directly to digital image sequences. The process is time consuming, but to restore movies like these is worth the effort.

If you are from Southern New Jersey you will find the movies of Millville and Salem very interesting. If you would like to find DVDs of really rare old films, visit GrapevineVideo.com
